Free Breast Cancer Screening

In collaboration with Hoboken Family Planning (HFP), the Yvonne McCalla Foundation Inc. (YMF, Inc.) Breast Cancer Awareness Organization has conducted a series of FREE cancer screening, cancer education and diagnostic services to Union County residents.  Cancer education and outreach was provided to the community to assure persons at risk and persons who are eligible for cancer screening are aware and have access to the free program.

Criteria for Free Screening

The New Jersey Cancer Education and Early Detection Program (NJCEED) criteria for the target population is: low-income, uninsured, under insured persons who are but not limited to African American and Latino women above the age of forty (40) for breast cancer screening and above the age of fifty (50) for prostate cancer screening. Hoboken Family Planning (HFP) also provides screening for free cervical and colorectal cancer.  Participants must also meet the federal poverty level guidelines.
